A New Gastronomic Experience At Cedar on 15

Last week on Thursday, Hubby and I was blessed to be invited to join the the launch of a new gastronomic experience at Cedar on 15, the rooftop restaurant and lounge at Impiana KLCC Hotel.
During the event, Helmut Lamberger, Corporate Chef (WACS Global Master Chef) at Impiana KLCC Hotel introduced to diners an array of specialties from three all-new menus – Midday Specials, Social Bites and The Cookbook.

As we mingled around before dinner was served, we enjoyed items from the Social Bites menu while sipping our Virgin Mojito.
I started with this refreshing Vine Tomato Bruschetta (RM39), Cameron Highland baby tomatoes, ricotta cheese, parsley oil and crushed pepper that was served by the staff while we mingled around.
The Our Version of Bitterballen (RM26), potato croquettes flavoured with smoked turkey ham, cheese finished with avocado mousse is soft and creamy and absolutely yummy.
The melt-in-my-mouth Beef Teriyaki Skewers (RM36), with onions, scallions, sesame and tsentsuyu dip.
From the Midday Specials and The Cookbook, diners can start with this refreshing  Fresh Cameron Highland lettuce (RM34) that pleases both the palate and the eyes.

It is served with air-dried beef shavings, compressed watermelon, grapefruit fillet, touille and mustard vinaigrette.
How about this indulgent Foie Gras "Magyar" (RM78), pan seared French duck liver , apple-pear compote, Hungary paprika jus and pomme de terre noisette.
Carpaccio of Portobello Mushrooms, with rocket lettuce, burrata cheese and horseradish whipped (RM54).

The rocket lettuce and horseradish added zing to the dish.
Another starter is Scandinavian Shrimp Salad (RM44) with tumeric foam, sour cream, salmon roe and butter fried toast.
It's so pretty, Chef Helmut recommends it for your Valentine's Day dinner.
Tuna, which is one of my favourite fish is also featured, in this dish - House-Gravad Blue Fin Tuna (RM66), with pickled radish, wasabi macaroon, pumpkin, lotus root chips and lemon grass mayo.
We enjoyed the Cream of Kohlrabi (RM44), with butter seared scallops, baby greens and coral touille.

The soup was poured at the table for us and served nice and hot. It was fun to see the chef pouring the soup in such flair to diners at the tables.

For the mains, diners have plenty of exciting dishes to choose from too.
Norwegian Smoked Fjord Lax (RM44) on pan fried potato cake with garden greens, sour cream, beetroot and herbs.
For meat lovers, this Blue Mountain Venison Loin (RM74) with green pea puree, caramelized root vegetables, juniper berry jus and crumbles.
There's certainly nothing wrong with this next dish for meat lovers, from the Lava Rock Grill.

Australian Beef Wagyu Ribeye Steak MB7 (RM340) and totally worth the price tag.
From the River & Sea, there's North Atlantic Black Cod (RM112), baked with Asian flavours, on braised spring onions, garlic cloves, honey carrots and miso sauce.
Let's not forget about desserts too, and there's this sinfully delicious Sticky Date Pudding with butterscotch sauce (RM34).
And this lovely Passionfruit (RM48)& Coconut Mousse Globe, drizzled with hot chocolate sauce at our table.
My Sweet Finale was this A Medley of White Chocolate (RM44)& Raspberry, with citrus creme and crispy snaps on the side.
It was really a nice evening with great dining experience. Thank you Impiana Hotel KLCC for having us.

    1. Didn't try the sticky pudding although it look might interesting.

But the globe chocolate was fun, to discover a "treasure" after we pour hot sauce over it.
