Throwback: Caving In Merapoh
Both Google photos and Facebook reminded me about this caving trip we did in Merapoh three years ago.
2015 to 2016 was the time I was still very active doing ultramarathons and hitting the trails and visiting Merapoh as part of the recce team for The Magnificent Merapoh Trail was fun.
As a side trip, we also visited Gua Jinjang Pelamin (blog post here).

I really have to thank Running Project and Ten Senses for inviting us to join the trip - both the route recce and the caving trip. We had to miss out on several other activities as we had to leave for KL sooner than the rest of the group.
It's been a while since the family hit the trail. I spend more time joining road races and since two years ago, I didn't do any out-of-town races (except Itabashi Marathon in 2017 and Okhotsk-Abashiri Marathon in 2018 lah. hehehe) because of Son's busy school and extra class schedule.
He will be sitting for his SPM this year so we foresee much more busy schedule at school.
He doesn't attend any tuition class but his school teachers are all great and committed and so far, he's doing fine (for our standard). Hey, he is one of Lembah Pantai's top PT3 achiever tau!
Anyway, gloating aside... Maybe we can hit the trail nearby for the CNY weekend. See how la.
Where are you celebrating the Chinese New Year?
Add oil for your son! Good that the school teachers are all great and your son is one of those very few who does not attend tuition. Well you will be able to do more caves and trails once the son has been done with SPM this year. CNY will be in KL!
ReplyDeleteHappy Chinese New Year Mun! :)
DeleteThanks! 4 days to go! :)
DeleteHope all preparations are done. Hehehe
DeleteYour boy otak bergeliga lah! I hated attending tuition but had to because brain not so good hah..hah..
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteI guess we are lucky he's very responsible and aware of what he needs to do himself without too much prodding from us. :)
Good to go outdoor and enjoy the nature. I don't mind caving once a while with my family. Great exercise too.
ReplyDeleteWow, you are adventurous!
DeleteWow...your son must be super smart that he doesn't need tuition. :p Besides the teachers must thank his creator as well. LOL :D
ReplyDeleteNot super smart la.
DeleteHe just doesn't have any pressure to score straight As lol
